Title: "Equity Crowdfunding: A Scientometric Analysis of an Establishing Research Field"

Abstract: The first part of my PhD research investigates the emergence of Equity Crowdfunding as an academic research field. The primary objective of this study is to assess and evaluate the current body of literature on equity crowdfunding and to identify current thematic clusters. Therefore a mixed methods approach based on three stages is used. First a systematic literature review (SLR) is conducted to deduce future research trends providing an excellent basis for further research. Second, to assess and evaluate the development of the current body of literature on equity crowdfunding and to identify the most influential contributions and authors scientometric measures are used in order to map the scientific research field and to facilitate methodological accuracy. Third, a qualitative content analysis of the abstracts and full texts of the individual scientific contributions is conducted to present the current research areas of equity crowdfunding and to provide orientations for future research.
