Biografie

Kurzbiographie

Geboren in Istanbul, am 19.06.1982. Nach seinem Schulabschluss (St. Georg Kolleg, Istanbul) hat er zwischen 2001-2005 die Uni Istanbul besucht. Seine Bildungseinrichtung im Bachelor-Studium war VWL. 2007 hat er sein Master-Studium (M.B.A.) an der Uni Wuppertal abgeschlossen. Seit Anfang Januar 2008 arbeitet er als Wiss. Mitarbeiter an der gleichen Uni, am Lehrstuhl für Makroökonomische Theorie und Politik, und promoviert im Bereich Energiewirtschaft.

Global Energy Market Developments and Innovation Dynamics in the Catching-Up Economies (Arbeitstitel)

Betreuer: Prof. Dr. P. J. J. Welfens (Wuppertal)

The relationship between FDI, environmental aspects, energy efficency and innovation dynamics is the focus of the thesis. The correlation between economic growth and energy intensity is another focal point. Beside it an explication of the energy policy of European Union can concretize the innovation and development path for catching-up economies. In this manner the position of the EU in the world energy market, its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities can be derived through a regional comparison.
