Brief biographical details

Fran  studied  chemistry  at  the  University  of  Jaén  (Spain),  where  he  graduated  in  2016.  During  this time, he carried out an 8 months internship as a laboratory assistant at BBraun Medical Laboratories (Jaén). For his Master studies he moved to Granada. There, he carried out his Master's thesis under the supervision of Luisa Carlota López, working on the development of new bioisosteric compounds with  potential  inhibitory  activity  in  Choline-Kinase.  In  2018,  he  joined  Janssen  Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, in Toledo (Spain), as junior research scientist, where he worked on the area of neuroscience applied to Alzheimer’s Disease. In January 2019, he joined the Gómez-Suárez  group  for  his  PhD where  he  is currently  studyingthe new amino  acid  synthesis  and the development of novel deoxyfunctionalization nethodologies.
